Walking through this town
Kissing the streets with my frown
I\'ve learned a few things on my way
But I still haven\'t grasped how I could
Possibly get you to stay
My mind is young, but my soul is old
I thought I felt the fire
But it just so happens I\'m still in the cold
My heart is what I thought you held in your palm
You\'d reach for me
Take me to the calm
Now I reach for you
But I cannot touch, cannot feel
That which is never there
I guess it\'s easy to let go, to fly free
When you never really held on to me.

no more kissing sidewalks. that's abrasive on frowns.
I like the rhyme here....it's so hard to do rhyme and not make it sound mechanical...so, well done
I really love the last two lines...A LOT
I can relate to them...as I am often the one holding on, and it is really just up to me to let go
much
I'm not sure that i like the rhyming scheme in the first bit, but i like it best in the last two lines. they're so profound... I also like the middle bit, it gives us a feel of the speaker
