Unfounded Reason
Maybe I'll still be by your side
When you awake from another hard day's night
Maybe I'll be waiting
With one hand still on my palpitating heart
And the other resting on the keys of a dusty piano
And the sun shines on your hair
I'm trying to find a reason for leaving you.
Always lost in your own little mind
yet something so little holds such a brilliance
That cannot compare to anything I have ever considered genius
Always lost in your music,
Your soothing tunes...
Somewhere in there you'll always find me as well.
Always remain my pillow.
I know it sounds strange
But your shoulder is the only one I ever want to dream on
The only shoulder I ever want to cry on...
I'm trying to find a reason for leaving you.
I let you come just close enough,
But you were always so far away
In the basement of your thoughts
And I tried to turn a light on
But the bulb has lost it's brilliance and will not glow...
You never told me not to go
But I stayed in your world as long as I could.
Now I'm trying to find a reason for leaving you.
But then all I'd be is someone missing your smile
Longing for your laugh
Your eyes glowing with a rare beam of joy
I'll always miss the you that nothing could destroy.
No matter where I am.
There must be a reason for leaving you.
Maybe I'll find it someday.

and if the band you're in starts playing different tunes i'll see you on the dark side of the moon
there is no dark side of the moon, really. matter of fact it's all dark.
And I tried to turn a light on
But the bulb has lost it's brilliance and will not glow..."
Excelent lines, I love the wording. This is very emotive.
